How to Add Sunlight Effect in Photoshop

 

In today’s lesson, we will teach you how to add sunlight effect in Photoshop. Open the picture you need in the Photoshop app. Click on the half-filled circle icon at the layer panel. Choose ‘Channel Mixer’ from the list. Set ‘Output channel’ to ‘Green’. Set Green to 0%. Set Blue to 100%. Set ‘Output channel’ to ‘Blue’. Set Green to 100%. Set Blue to 0%. Close the tool window. Go to Layers tool panel. Click on ‘Normal’ and choose ‘Soft light’ from the list. Click on the half-filled circle icon at the layer panel. Choose ‘Gradient Map’ from the list. Click on the gear icon in the new window. Select ‘Photographic Toning’ from the list. Click ‘Ok’ in the pop-up window. Click on the preset with Black, blue, yellow and white colors. The name is Gold Blue. Click ‘Ok’. Close the tool window. Go to Layers tool panel. Click on ‘Normal’ and choose ‘Soft light’ from the list. Set Opacity to 53%. Click on the half-filled circle icon at the layer panel. Choose ‘Brightness/Contrast’ from the list. Adjust Brightness and Contrast settings. Close the tool window. Click on the half-filled circle icon at the layer panel. Choose ‘Gradient’ from the list. Click on the Gradient. Click on the gear icon in the new window. Select ‘Reset Gradients’ from the list. Click ‘Ok’ in the pop-up window. Click Ok. Click on the Gradient. Choose ‘Foreground to Transparent’ preset. Click ‘Ok’ in the pop-up window. Click ‘Ok’. Gradient Fill window is still open. Set Style to Radial. Check Reverse option. You can move the gradient around your photo to get desired effect. Set Scale to approximately 240% and click ‘Ok’. Click on the half-filled circle icon at the layer panel. Choose ‘Gradient’ from the list. Set Style to Radial. Click on the Gradient. Choose ‘Foreground to Transparent’ preset. Click on the left bottom color stop. Set the color to #f9e5bb Click Ok. Add a new color stop and click on it to change the color. Set the color to #f8cca4 Click ‘Ok’. Add another color stop and click on it to change the color. Set the color to #fa7744 Click ‘Ok’. Click Ok to close the Gradient Editor window. Gradient fill window should be open. Adjust the scale settings. Move the gradient layer to the top of your photo so it looks like the sun. Click Ok. Go to Layers tool panel. Click on ‘Normal’ and choose ‘Soft, hard or vivid light’ from the list.
