Renaming Audio Devices in Windows 11

Step 1: On the taskbar, right-click the Start button.

Step 2: From the context menu of the Start button, select Settings, as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 3: On the left menu of the Settings window, select System.

Step 4: Next, as indicated in the screenshot below, click the Sound option on the right side of the window.

Step 5: Click on the Sound device that you want to rename, as shown below.

Step 6: Next, on the Sound device’s Properties page, click the Rename button, as shown below.

Step 7: Give the sound device a new name and click the Rename button.

Step 8: Finally, close all of the settings windows.

Step 9: To check the sound device, open Action Center by hitting the Windows + A buttons on your keyboard at the same time.

Step 10: In the Action Center wizard, pick the Sound Output icon, as shown in the figure below.
