Inserting Online Videos | Microsoft WORD for Beginners

 

 

Go to Insert tab at the top tools bar. Look for the Media block. You will see the Online Video option is not available. It is because the Word document is in the Compatibility Mode. Let’s change that. Click on File at the top left corner of the window. Go to Info. Look for Compatibility Mode on the right side of the window and click on Convert. Click Ok in the pop-up window. Go to Insert tab at the top tools bar. Look for the Media block. You will see the Online Video option is now available. Click on it. A pop-up window will appear. We need to enter URL to the video or insert the embed code. Open a web browser and go to the web page with the video you want to insert. We will insert the YouTube video. Copy the link. Go back to the Word file. Paste the link into the pop-up window. Click on Insert. The video will appear in the file. You can pull the corners of the video to resize it. Click on play icon to view the video. Let’s do it another way. Go to Insert tab at the top tools bar. Look for the Media block. You will see the Online Video option is now available. Click on it. A pop-up window will appear. We need to enter URL to the video or insert the embed code. Open a web browser and go to the web page with the video you want to insert. We will insert the YouTube video. Click on Share under the video. Click on Embed. Select and copy the embed code. Go back to the Word file. Paste the code into the pop-up window. Click on Insert. The video will appear in the file. You can pull the corners of the video to resize it. Click on play icon to view the video.
