Paragraph Styles | Microsoft WORD for Beginners

 

 

Select the paragraph that you need. Go to Home tab at the top tools bar. Look for the Style block. Click on the expand icon at the corner. You will see a small window pop up. You can pull the corner of the window to make it bigger. You will see a list of available styles. We will click on them and you can see how it will look. There are 5 Heading Styles, title Style, 2 Subtitle Styles, two Emphasis Styles and many more. Click Ok once you’re done. You don’t have to expand the Style block to see all the options. Select the text that you need. Click on the arrow next to the styles to see a drop-out view of all the options. Click on the style that you want to apply it. Let’s move on to the next option. Select the text that you need. Click on the arrow next to the styles to see a drop-out view of all the options. Right-click on the style that you want to apply and choose Modify from the list. A new window will open. You can style the paragraph yourself. It will be based on the style that you’ve chosen. Go to Formatting block. Click on the Font to see the drop out list. Choose the font that you want from the list. Click on the next field to see the drop out list. Set the font size. You can also click on bold, italic or underscore to give the text extra style. Click Ok once you’re done. Click on the arrow next to the styles to see a drop-out view of all the options. Click on the style that you’ve just modified to apply it. You can also create your own style. Select the text that you need. Click on the arrow next to styles to see the drop out list. Click on Create a Style. A new window will open. Enter the name for the style. Click on Modify. Set Style Type to Paragraph. Go to Formatting block. Click on the Font to see the drop out list. Choose the font that you want from the list. Click on the next field to see the drop out list. Set the font size. You can also click on bold, italic or underscore to give the text extra style. Click on the Automatic to change the color. Choose the color from the drop out list. Check Add to the Styles gallery option at the bottom of the window. Click Ok. If you click on the arrow next to the styles, you will the style you’ve created appear there. If you want to remove the style, select the text that you need. Click on the arrow next to the Styles block to see the drop-out list. Click on Clear Formatting to remove the styles.
