WordArt | Microsoft WORD for Beginners
WordArt is a text modifying feature in Microsoft Word. It includes effects such as shadows, outlines, colors, gradients, and 3D effects that can be added to a word or phrase. WordArt can also bend, stretch, skew, or otherwise modify the shape of the text. We will add some text that we will use to show you how WordArt works. Select the text that you need. We will change the size of the text, this step is optional. Go to Insert tab at the top tools bar. Go to Text block. Click on WordArt. You will see a short list of different style. Click on the style that you want to apply it to the text. Once you apply the WordArt style, you can see that the Format tab appears at the top tools bar. It gives us more tools to work with WordArt. We will pull the borders of the WordArt to make more space. Select the text and change the font size in the small pop-up window. You can make your text bigger or smaller. Let’s format some WordArt. Go to WordArt Styles block at the top tools bar. Click on the arrow to see the styles options. Choose the style that you want to apply. When you hover over the style you will see the preview in the document. Click on Text fill option at the top tools bar. Choose the fill color. Click on it to apply it to the text. Click on Text outline option at the top tools bar. Choose the outline color. Click on it to apply it to the text. Click on Text outline option at the top tools bar. Go to Weight and choose the outline weight from the list. Clik on it to apply to the text. You can also set gradient as your text fill. Click on Text fill option at the top tools bar. Go to Gradient and choose the Gradient style for the text fill. It can be Light or Dark gradient variations. Click on Text Effects. You will see a list of options. You can add Shadow effects, Reflection, Glow, Bevel, 3-D Rotation and Transform effects. Each option has its own list of effects that you can choose from. We will add Perspective Shadow and Some Glow Effects. If you choose 3-D Rotation, you can 3-D rotate your text. When you hover over the style you can see the preview. Click on the style to apply it.
